Crystal Flakes
Crystal flakes
descended from the heavens,
Each one unique and impossible to create.
Easily destroyed and quickly forgotten.
One by one they stacked themselves,
Until the world was blanketed in brilliant white.
As if God remarked,
"Remember how pure this used to be."
For a moment the world is quiet,
Perfection only lasts so long.
A snow plow roars along as if to say,
"Trust me, we are better this way."
